Credit Card Policies

We accept all major Credit Cards (MASTER, VISA, JCB, DINERS, AMERICAN EXPRESS
AND UNION PAY), Avis Charge Cards, Avis Vouchers or Corporate LPO(s), as method of
payment(s).
Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) are accepted from companies who are already registered locally/internationally with AVIS UAE and meet all the required criteria.

Credit card should be valid for a minimum of 3 months from the day of Rental and must be physically available at time of vehicle collection. Please note that in all cases, DEBIT CARDS, PREPAID, RECHARGE, APPLE PAY, GOOGLE PAY or VIRTUAL CREDIT CARDS are not accepted as 'security'.

Russian Bank credit cards: As advised by international credit and debit card issuers, we are temporarily not accepting credit/debit cards issued from Russia and/or Russian Banks.
In case of refunds, the customer has to provide another acceptable refund platform to Avis UAE subject to approval to process the refund.

 

Deposit
The estimated cost of the rental, value added services and insurance charges are payable in
advance.

A credit card is mandatory for any reservation, except in case of Full Credit Voucher. A Pre-
authorization is taken at the time of rental which includes insurance excess amount and any
unforeseen charges such as Fuel, Traffic Fines, Toll Gate Fees, Damage Charges etc. Pre-
authorization amount on credit card is between AED 3000-5000, depending on rented car group.
AED 3000 will be held for group A,B,C,D, E, J & K and AED 5000 will be held for remaining groups F,G,H,I,L,M,N,O&P.

We keep pre-authorization amount until we receive confirmation regarding Traffic Fines and
Toll Gate Fees from RTA (Roads and Transport Authorities). It may take up to 15-21 working
days from the date of transaction to release the blocked amount (pre-auth) on the credit card.

Driver's License and ID Requirements

a) Drivers License

All drivers must have a valid driving license held for a minimum of one (1) year.
Physical Driving permit should be presented at the time of rental pick up and carried during your rental period.

b) UAE Residents
A valid UAE driving licence is a must.
Please note that driving without a valid UAE driving licence when on Residence or Employment Visa is a violation of the UAE Law & AVIS UAE will refuse to rent.

c) Non-UAE Residents

All non-UAE residents are required to hold a valid International Driving License along with their National Driving License, except drivers holding driver's license from the following countries. Please visit the link UAE Government for on time updates.


** Israel local license is not valid to drive in UAE. It is mandatory for the customer to present a valid International Drivers Permit.

Public Liability and Property Damage

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country.  Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.

Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles.  The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental.  Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Collection of your reserved vehicle
A vehicle pertaining to any reservation will be reserved for a maximum of 6 hours from its collection due date/time. Any collection after the mentioned 6 hours will be subject to availability.

In the unlikely event of a breakdown, kindly contact the Call Centre on 800 AVIS (2847) or +971 4 330 7272 The service is available 24/7; fees vary depending on the location.
Repairs and Maintenance
All repairs and maintenance must be carried out only at AVIS workshops. Customer is fully liable for all damages and additional costs in case of own repair, changing parts of the vehicle or maintenance.
Use of the rented vehicle
AVIS vehicles are to be used for non-commercial passenger transportation only. Valet charges will apply for pet’s transportation or misuse of the vehicle. Only authorized drivers, stated on the rental agreement are allowed to drive an AVIS vehicle.


Additional Driver Policy

This is subject to Avis UAE driver qualification and will be charged at AED 20.00 per day, AED 105.00 per week up to a maximum of AED 150.00 per contract.


After Hours Information

This is subject to AVIS downtown locations which are not open 24 hours. For drop-off out of opening hours, the vehicle should be returned to any of the Avis Airport offices which are open 24 hours.

The renter can request for a car collection as per Collection terms at extra cost based on location.


Age Requirements

Minimum age is 21 years old for groups A-E, J-L. For all other car groups minimum age is 25 years. There is no maximum age limit.

 


Cancellations/No Shows

If you cancel your booking 72 hours prior to your vehicle pick up date/time no cancellation charges will apply and the amount will be refunded.

If you cancel your reservation within 72 hours prior to the rental pick up date/time
shown in your booking, a fixed cancellation fee, similar 3-day rental amount will be
applied.

Same condition will apply for reservations made and cancelled within 72 hours of the rental pick up date/time.

If you have rented for less than 3 days, no refund will be applicable.

There is no refund if the Renter fails to show up for a rental that has not been cancelled prior to the pick-up date/time.


Collecting and Returning Your Vehicle

The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours) with a maximum grace period of 29 minutes from the elapse of the term agreed. In the event of the late return of vehicle exceeding the grace period, AVIS UAE reserves the right to make an additional daily charge at the prevailing rate, including fees for the options taken for each day.


Deliveries/Collections

Delivery and Collection services are available, on request, subject to driver and vehicle availability. For Delivery and Collection, reservations must be made via our Call Centre on 800 AVIS (2847) or +971 4 330 7272 or via email on callcentre@avisuae.ae

  • Delivery and Collection within the city limits of same emirate where the reservation made will be AED 75

Early Returns

There will be no refund for unused rental days on a Prepaid/Pay on Arrival Rental, once the rental has started.

If you return the vehicle and any optional extras early, you will lose the benefit of any special offers if you no longer meet the requirements. This may result in the rental costing you more.


Fines

A surcharge of AED 50 is applicable, over and above the traffic fine as a handling administration fee.


Fuel Policy

As a standard, AVIS UAE has a full-to-full fuel policy. This means that customers are expected to return the car with a full tank of fuel. Service charges apply when a customer miss refueling the vehicle before return.

AVIS UAE offers customers the option of Advance Fuel Purchase. This is a convenient way to avoid the hassle of looking for a fuel station to top up and prevent any penalties during off-
hire. Simply opt for the Pre-Paid Fuel and return the vehicle with the fuel level of choice and avoid any impact on the final invoice. There is no refund on unused fuel.


General Information

Tax: VAT of 5% will be applicable on all invoices related to rental and related services that are generated from 1st January 2018 or any part of the service/invoice fall within/after the 1st January 2018, irrespective of the booking confirmation made earlier.

Toll Gate System (SALIK): Toll gate fee is charged at AED 6 per crossing.

Vehicle Registration Fee: A fee of AED 5 per day or maximum AED 75 per month will be applied to each rental.


Location Exceptions

Airport Surcharge
A surcharge is applicable for all rentals (pick up as well as drop off) at any airport locations in the UAE. This surcharge is applicable only once per rental. A surcharge of AED 50 applies for rentals at Dubai International Airport (Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3), Abu Dhabi Airport & Sharjah Airport.
AED 25.00 at Al Maktoum Airport in the UAE.

 

Vehicle Registration Fee
A fee of AED 5 per day or maximum AED 75 per month will be applied to each rental.


Miscellaneous Information

Valet Charges
Valeting charges will be applied if the Vehicle is returned in a condition that requires specialized cleaning (Example: Sand or mud particles found in the car, pet hair on the seats, tea, coffee, or any other edible items staining the car seats and interior, etc.), Charges would be estimated by the workshop depends on the labour and required material costs and minimum valet charge would be AED 250. If the car is returned with an extremely dirty exterior, there will be a charge of AED 50 as valet charges.
Tire Replacement Service Charge
A surcharge of AED 100 will be charged, over and above the tire repair costs or applicable excess, as a handling administration fee.
Tint Film Removal
A fee of AED 100 will be charged if the rented vehicle is returned with tinted film on the windows.
Rent a car vehicles cannot have tint film on the windows as per UAE law. Renter is liable to bear fine costs and admin fee in the case that tint film is placed on the rented vehicle.
Non- Smoking Charges 

Avis operates a non-smoking fleet. Vehicles returned with smoke or unacceptable odor will require a full valet and as such a fee of 500 AED shall be chargeable to the customer.
Accident Service Charge
A fee of AED 75 per accident will be charged as an accident handling administration fee, over and above the damage repair costs or applicable excess.

Mandatory Documentation
The following documents are mandatory to rent a vehicle from AVIS UAE and must be presented physically at the counter,

  • Valid Passport & Emirates ID.
  • Valid Visa/Entry Documents (UAE entry stamp or visa page).
  • Valid Driving license issued at least 1 year before the rental pick-up date.
  • Valid International Driving Permit, where applicable, for Renters who are on UAE visit/tourist visa along with local driving licence.
  • Valid Credit Card under the name of the renter for security deposit with minimum 03 months validity from the rental start date.

Important: For Renters who opt for delivery, the above-mentioned documents should be
emailed to customerservice@avisuae.ae at least two hours prior to the scheduled delivery.

Right to Refuse
AVIS UAE reserves the right to refuse the car to any customer for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Who fails to arrive on time or produce physical mandatory documents and a valid credit card with sufficient available funds for the security deposit/payments.
  • Customers under the influence of alcohol, hallucinatory drugs, narcotics, barbiturates, or any other substance impairing his/her consciousness or ability to react
  • Abusive behaviour towards the Company vehicle or asset /employees

In such a case, unless the rental has been cancelled in advance, the customer will not be entitled to a refund.


One Way Rentals

A one-way drop-off fee is applicable when renting a vehicle in one emirate/city and dropping it off in another emirate/city within the UAE. Charges depend on the type of vehicle rented and the city limit.

  • Between Emirates, depends on vehicle category Min AED 200/- & Max AED 300/-
  • Vehicles cannot be driven and/or dropped off outside the United Arab Emirates without prior approval and consent of AVIS UAE.

ADDENDUM TO RENTAL AGREEMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
VIA DRIVER PROGRAM ADDENDUM
TO
AVIS RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions are applicable to those Via drivers who rent a transit van provided by Avis Rent A Vehicle System, LLC (“Avis”) for use in the Via Rental Program. These terms and conditions shall serve to amend and modify Avis’ standard Rental Terms and Conditions and shall constitute part of the Rental Agreement. Capitalized Terms used in this Addendum, but not otherwise defined on this Addendum, shall have the respective meanings assigned to them in the Rental Terms and Conditions.
1. Section 1 “The Rental Agreement” is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following:
These Rental Terms and Conditions, the rental document you receive when you are given access to the vehicle you are renting (the “Access Document”), the Privacy Notice, and the return receipt or record (the “Rental Receipt”) with computed rental charges together constitute the “Rental Agreement” between yourself and Avis.
2. Section 5 “Who May Drive The Vehicle” is hereby amended as follows:
a. You shall be at least twenty-five (25) years of age.
b. You shall have a valid personal automobile insurance policy in place at all times during which the vehicle is rented.
b. Anything contained in Section 5 to the contrary notwithstanding, you shall be the only person permitted to operate the vehicle for purposes of transporting passengers for hire in exchange for monetary value or other consideration.
c. “Permitted Drivers” and “Additional Drivers” are prohibited from operating the vehicle and all references in the Rental Agreement to Permitted Drivers and/or an Additional Drivers are hereby deleted by reference.
3. Section 6 “Return of the Vehicle” is hereby amended as follows:
If you do not return the vehicle to the location from which it was rented, as and when required under the Rental Agreement, you may be subject to criminal penalties.
4. Section 7 “Where You’ll Return the Vehicle” is hereby amended as follows:
Anything contained in Section 7 to the contrary notwithstanding, the vehicle must be returned to the location from which it was rented as specified in the Access Document.
5. Section 8 “Rental Charges” is hereby amended as follows:
a. Anything contained in Section 8 to the contrary notwithstanding, provided you are in compliance with the Rental Agreement, you will pay for the period of time you rent the vehicle at the applicable “Via Rental Program” rate. You will not pay for the number of miles/kilometers you drive unless otherwise indicated in the Rental Contract.
b. Anything contained in Section 8 to the contrary notwithstanding, you shall not be permitted to present any rewards certificates coupons or vouchers associated with a loyalty rewards program.
c. Anything contained in Section 8 to the contrary notwithstanding, optional insurance and ancillary products are not available for purchase under the “Via Rental Program”
d. Anything contained in Section 8 to the contrary notwithstanding, you will be charged a $40 fee if you cancel a reservation within 24 hours of your scheduled pick-up time.
e. Anything contained in Section 8 to the contrary notwithstanding, you will be charged a $25 fee if you fail to return the vehicle within 30 minutes of your scheduled return time.
f. Anything contained in Section 8 to the contrary notwithstanding, you will charged the full rental amount for the scheduled reservation if you cancel such reservation within 1 hour of the scheduled pick-up time or fail to pick-up the vehicle within 30
minutes of the scheduled pick-up time (except in instances where a replacement driver rents the vehicle during your scheduled rental period).
g. Anything contained in Section 8 to the contrary notwithstanding, you will be charged a refundable deposit in the amount of $500.00 (the “Deposit Amount”). Such deposit will be collected by NoMad (Via) in four (4) equal installments over the course of 4 weeks as a deduction from your earnings, to the extent such earnings are sufficient, and remitted to Avis. In the event your earnings are insufficient to provide a deposit installment, Avis reserves the right to charge your credit card the amount of the installment.
h. Anything contained in Section 8 to the contrary notwithstanding, your use of the vehicle for transporting Via passengers for King County Metro will require your use of “tap-to-pay’ card reader to collect payment from passengers. Avis shall provide you with a card reader for use at the beginning of the rental period and you shall return the card reader to Avis when the vehicle is returned. You shall be responsible for any lost, stolen, or broken card readers that are in your care and control. You shall promptly notify NoMad if a card reader is malfunctioning, broken, lost or stolen.
6. Section 12 “Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)” is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following:

7. Section 13 “Damage to/Loss to the Vehicle” is hereby amended as follows:
Anything contained in Section 13 to the contrary notwithstanding, you will be solely responsible for all loss of or damage to the vehicle up to a maximum of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00).
8. Section 14 “Prohibited Use of the Vehicle” is hereby amended as follows:
Anything contained in Section 14 to the contrary notwithstanding, you shall only be permitted to carry passengers for hire using the Via platform and, to the extent the vehicle is used for such purpose, you must remain approved and in good standing with Via for such purpose and remain in compliance with the Rental Agreement. Such permitted use on the Via platform shall not constitute Prohibited Use of the Vehicle.
9. Section 14 “Prohibited Use of the Vehicle” is hereby supplemented to add the following additional terms and conditions:
If you take, or fail to take any of the following actions, it will constitute a violation of the Rental Agreement:
a. Driving or operating the vehicle while using a hand-held wireless communication device or other device that is capable of receiving or transmitting telephonic communications, electronic data, mail or text messages shall be deemed a breach of the Rental Agreement, provided, that you may use such devices solely for the purpose of using the Via platform and compatible navigation apps (e.g., Google Maps, Waze) in accordance with the Via terms and conditions and in hands free mode to the extent such mode is made available by Via.
b. You use the vehicle to transport passengers for hire in exchange for monetary value or other consideration (“Commercial Passengers”) other than the transportation of passengers via the Via platform (but no application or platforms provided by other entities, individuals, or transportation network companies or otherwise performed independently) while you have the Via platform running for the purpose or intent of providing transportation to Commercial Passengers (“Driver Mode”) and you have: 1) not accepted any requests for transportation services (“Period 1”); 2) accepted a request for transportation services from a Commercial Passenger but do not have any Commercial Passenger occupying the vehicle (“Period 2”); or 3) at least one Commercial Passenger is occupying, entering or exiting the vehicle (“Period 3”).
c. You use the vehicle for a primary purpose other than to provide services for hire related to Commercial Passengers on the Via platform during Period 1, Period 2 or Period 3.
10. Section 15 “Fuel Service Charge” is hereby amended as follows:
Anything contained in Section 15 to the contrary notwithstanding, the vehicle is generally being provided to you with enough gas to last your scheduled rental period. Avis is responsible for fueling the vehicle. You will be billed for the amount of fuel consumed during the rental period at fuel rates commensurate with EIA retail guidelines. The vehicle is equipped with a fuel card that is intended for emergency use only if you are reasonably unable to complete the return of the vehicle or continuing operation of the vehicle during your rental period without refueling. You are prohibited from using the fuel card for any other purpose or removing the card from the vehicle. If you lose or remove the fuel card you will be charged a replacement fee and/or any charges incurred by the card until you notify Avis of its loss.
11. Section 18 “Roadside Assistance” is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following:
Roadside assistance is available to all renters, but additional fees may be charged to you for the provision of roadside assistance services that are not caused by Avis.
12. Section 19 “Emergency Sickness Protection (ESP)” and Section 20 “Personal Accident and Effects Insurance (PAE)” are hereby deleted in their entirety and replaced with the following:

13. Section 21 “Liability Protection” is hereby amended as follows:
a. Section 21 shall only be applicable to your operation of the vehicle in Period 0 and outlines the circumstances under which you may be protected by Avis against liability in Period 0 for (i) causing bodily injury or death to others up to the minimum financial responsibility limits required by the law of the jurisdiction in which the accident occurs, or (ii) damaging the property of someone other than you up to the minimum financial responsibility limits required by the law of the jurisdiction in which the accident occurs. Section 21 shall not apply to your operation of the vehicle in Periods 1, 2 & 3. Please see Via’s terms and conditions for information regarding liability protection for which you may be eligible from Via for (i) causing bodily injury or death to others during Period 1, Period 2 and Period 3 and (ii) damaging the property of someone other than the authorized driver and/or the renter during Period 1, Period 2 and Period 3.
14. Section 22 “Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) & Exclusions” is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following:

15. Section 27 “Collections” is hereby supplemented to include the following additional terms and conditions:
Anything contained in the Rental Agreement to the contrary notwithstanding, you understand and agree that all amounts due to Avis may be collected from you on Avis’ behalf by Via. Such amounts may be drawn directly from your Via earnings, or from a credit card or alternate form of payment that you have provided to or authorized for Avis. You acknowledge and agree that Avis may coordinate with Via to deduct any amounts you owe in connection with the rental from the amounts you may earn while providing for-hire transportation services on the Via platform, including without limitation all rental charges, fees or deductibles related to Vehicle damage, fines, tolls or any additional fees incurred in connection with your rental from Avis, and in addition that Avis may require you to provide a credit or other payment card (subject to applicable terms and conditions) in order to reserve or rent a vehicle, that an authorization or hold amount may be placed on the card provided, and that Avis may charge the amount owed to the payment card you provide at any time. Avis has designated Via as its agent solely for the purpose of collecting any amounts owed by you to Avis on Avis’ behalf. For this purpose, you authorize Via to offset these amounts from other amounts Via owes you, and if such offset does not fully pay such amounts, Avis may charge the remaining unpaid amount to the payment method you have authorized for Avis’ use. Any such amounts shall be collected at least weekly. Certain amounts may be charged at or after the end of the rental period, such as fees for Vehicle damage as may be identified during inspection, or for unpaid tickets or tolls and associated administrative fees that are identified after the rental period, or otherwise, as provided in the Rental Agreement. You must keep a valid payment method on file with Avis to pay the above amounts. If Via is collecting these amounts, you will receive a summary in your statement from Via with the breakdown of amounts owed during, and as applicable after, the rental periods. You further acknowledge that in accordance with your agreement with Via that Via has the right to collect all amounts due to Avis in the manner described in this Section 27.
16. Section 30 “Additional Services and Products” and Section 31 “GPS by Garmin” are hereby deleted in their entirety and replaced with the following:

17. Section 33 “Vehicle & Location Data” is hereby supplemented to include the following additional terms and conditions:
a. Where permitted by law, we reserve the right to share Vehicle Data to third parties for commercial purposes.
b. Without limitation of any provision found in the Rental Terms and Conditions, you authorize Avis to provide Via with your PII and information regarding each rental you undertake through the “Via Rental Program” and the Vehicle Data. Such PII may include, but is not limited to: name; payment information, driver’s license number, state of issuance and expiration date, insurance information, vehicle license place issuing state and number; vehicle make, model, year, mileage, color and
number of doors; rental location; and rental timeframe. You authorize Via and Avis to collect, process, use, share, and dispose of any data generated by the vehicle, you or your use of the vehicle. All data (including PII) that is collected by Via through the Via platform (including your use of the Via platform) may be shared with and used by Avis.
18. The following new Paragraphs 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41 are hereby added to the Rental Terms and Conditions:
37. Representations. You represent, warrant and covenant to Avis that you have all licenses, permits and approvals required to perform the for-hire services related to the transportation of Commercial Passengers under the Via platform and that you will perform such services in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, standards, codes of conduct, and other terms and conditions of Via and Avis and all applicable laws, regulations, permits, licenses, administrative pronouncements and court rulings, including without limitation: (i). those governing transportation network companies and drivers utilizing their platforms; (ii) those governing the provision of for hire transportation services at airports; and (iii). those prohibiting discrimination or harassment against any individual by reason of race, creed, color, age, physical or mental disability, national origin, sex, union membership, or any characteristic protected by Law, or against any individual who has a visual, hearing or mobility impairment or uses a service animal.
38. Additional Driver Requirements Applicable to the Via Rental Program. You acknowledge and agree that, in the event you fail to satisfy the requirements established by Avis and Via to participate in the “Via Rental Program”, the Rental Agreement may be terminated upon notice at Avis’ sole discretion and you must return the vehicle to the location from which it was rented upon demand. Your failure to return the vehicle may result in your being charged then-current market rental rates, late fees and all other costs and expenses incurred by Avis in retrieving the vehicle.
39. Accidents and Related Information. You acknowledge and agree that, in the event of any accident, theft or other liability incident involving the vehicle during the rental period, you will promptly notify Avis and Via and provide Avis and Via with all information which may be responsive to any automobile liability involving the vehicle. You further acknowledge and agree to assist and cooperate with Avis and/or Via in any investigation, including any police investigation and handling of such accident or claim of liability against you or Avis and/or Via arising out of such accident or otherwise out of your rental.
40. Vehicle Rental Term. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in these Rental Terms and Conditions or any other agreement between you and Avis or any of its affiliates, rental period shall be billed hourly.
41. Status. You acknowledge and agree that you (i) are an independent contractor and are not an employee of Via, and (ii) are not a legal representative or agent of Via or Avis. Accordingly, you do not have any authority to represent or bind Via or Avis.
In the event of any conflict between the provisions of this Addendum and the provisions of the Rental Terms and Conditions, the provisions of this Addendum shall govern. Subject to the foregoing, except as expressly amended herein, the Rental Terms and Conditions shall remain in full force and effect and is ratified and confirmed in its entirety by each and all of the parties. The headings in this Addendum are for reference only and do not affect the interpretation of this Amendment.

Special Equipment

Baby / Child / Booster Seat
Baby / Child seats are subject to availability at all AVIS rental offices at an additional cost of AED 35 per day, AED 210 per week and up to a maximum of AED 300 per month. Advance notification of 72 hours is required. Damaged Baby/Child/Booster Seat will be charged AED 550.
GPS / Navigation System
GPS rental is subject to availability at all AVIS rental locations at an additional cost of AED 50 per day, AED 250 per week and AED 450 per month. Advance notification of 72 hours is required.
Lost or damaged GPS
AED 1000 charge applies.


Taking Your Vehicle Outside the Country

Cross Border Rentals - Oman Only


Vehicles are allowed to be driven out of United Arab Emirates to Oman strictly through request bookings via AVIS UAE call center with advance notification of 72 hours.

Cross border rentals are subjective to a mileage limitation/cap of 250km a day and excess mileage charge of AED 1/- per kilometer irrespective of the open mileage terms specified under domestic rental and online booking terms

Confirmation is subject to insurance approval and fleet availability. Original No Objection Certificate (NOC) and Oman Insurance have to be collected from the assigned AVIS UAE rental locations for verification at the border. AVIS UAE shall not be liable for any charges or compensations for cross border restrictions from authorities.

 

Avis will not be responsible for any rejections at border due to cross border & territorial restrictions and only specific border crossings will allow entry to tourists/expats and car rentals.

 

Oman insurance and documentation charges

B, C and E car groups

Waiver and Protection Options

The Waivers and Insurance options does not cover acts of sabotage, terrorism, flood, storm, hurricane, volcanic eruption, earth quake or other convulsions of nature, invasion act of foreign enemies, hostilities or warlike operations whether war be declared or not civil war, strike, riot, civil commotion mutiny, rebellion, revolution insurrection military or usurped power, confiscation or nationalization, reckless and drunken driving (under the influence of alcohol and / or any other substance).

In case of an accident, UAE Law states not to move the car until a police/accident report has been obtained. Failure to do so may result in the Renter being responsible for the damages. A Police report is a MUST in order for the Insurances (CDW / SCDW / Motor Liability Insurance / PAI) to be covered. Off Road driving is not covered with Insurance, Renter is fully liable for any damage and additional costs.
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)
This is a mandatory insurance. The renter will be responsible for an excess between AED 1500 and 5000. If declined, for any reason, the renter will be responsible for full damage amount. Terms & Conditions apply. Charges depend on the type of vehicle rented. In case of any accidents and additional damages, a police report must be obtained by contacting the local authorities.
Limitation of liability shall apply to damage to the rental vehicle, its parts and accessories caused in a road accident. CDW limits renter's financial responsibility to Excess Amount stated on the Rental Agreement. In any case, CDW DOES NOT COVER damage if the vehicle was driven by unauthorized driver or by authorized driver under the influence of alcohol or drugs, damage to the interior of the vehicle, tire and wheel damage, windscreen, wheel cover and rims, damage to the underside of the vehicle, broken or lost key, lost or damage car documents, contamination of fuel, either in the event of deliberate intention or negligence.

SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver)
This is an optional insurance, sold in addition to the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance. By accepting this, the renter is reducing the liability for damages to the vehicle to ZERO.
Terms & Conditions apply. Charges depend on the type of vehicle rented. Police report must be obtained by contacting the local authorities. In any case, SCDW DOES NOT COVER damage if the vehicle was driven by unauthorized driver or by authorized driver under the influence of alcohol or drugs, damage to the interior of the vehicle, windscreen, tire and wheel damage, wheel cover and rims, damage to the underside of the vehicle, broken or lost key, lost or damage car documents, contamination of fuel, either in the event of deliberate intention or negligence.

PAI (Personal Accident Insurance)
This is an optional insurance for the driver and the passengers, in respect of death or bodily injury whilst in the vehicle during the rental. Terms & Conditions apply.

Exclusions include:
Intentional self-injury / attempted suicide, physical / mental defect, or infirmity
An accident happening while the driver person is under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs.
The number of passengers (including the driver) should not exceed the seating
capacity as stated in the schedule of the policy at the time of the accident.
Diya Money (blood money) will be decided by a court of law based on the incident.

Claims are subject to UAE Courts approval.


WS (Windscreen Damage Waiver)
This is a coverage option that covers damages caused to the windscreen glass of our vehicle (front, back and side windows only). Terms & Conditions apply.
RSN (Roadside Safety Net)
This is a coverage option that covers any non-mechanical breakdown while the customer has the vehicle. Roadside safety net is a coverage that is meant to assist the customer for services while they are on the road or during the time of the rental. Services included: Towing, Replacement of flat tires, Lock outs, Refuelling service, lost keys replacement, Jump Starts (battery dead). This product does not include coverage for negligence, when customer has not refuelled the vehicle with the right type petrol vs non-leaded and has caused damage to the vehicle - we will tow the vehicle but the damage to the engine is not covered.
TC (Tire Cover)
This is a coverage option that covers flat or damage tire. Customer will not pay tire charge. Terms & Conditions apply.
